Shreya Bhadriraju is an Indian-American coloratura soprano from Houston, Texas, currently based in NYC.
A graduate of Northwestern University, she is a Fulbright recipient and AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow. She was a semifinalist for the U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts award, a National YoungArts Finalist in Classical Voice, and a first-place winner in the Golden Voices of America International Competition.
She was also a member of the Houston Grand Opera Bauer Family Voice Studio and served as a Houston Young Artist Ambassador.
Shreya has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall in New York City, the New World Center in Miami, the Indian Consulate and UN Association in Houston, the Eternal Gandhi Museum, Miller Outdoor Theatre, and Haus der Industrie in Vienna. She has also appeared regularly at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music and Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music.
Her recent roles include Queen of the Night at the Prague Summer Nights Music Festival and she looks forward to joining the Cedar Rapids Opera as a Smith Young Artist for their 2026 season. She will also be joining the Santa Fe Opera as an Apprentice for their 2026 season.
